Long Prargraphs are hard to read on a monitor. For example, here is an original paragraph from the article Make It Readable:
Lots of long paragraphs may work well for an article in a traditional magazine, but they don't work on a monitor. Your English teacher might cringe, but break those long paragraphs into smaller ones. If you can convert a paragraph into a bulleted list, do it. If you have a short sentence at the beginning of a paragraph, convert it to a bold subheading. Put a really important point into a box with a border and colored background. Make it easy to determine the page's relevancy by scanning the page.
And this is what it became:

- Break long paragraphs into smaller ones.
- Convert a paragraph into a bulleted list, if possible.
- Create a bold subheading from a short first sentence.
- Highlight an important point with a border and colored background.
