Introduction to Google Dancin'
This blog isn't about Google, per se. It is about Internet Marketing.
There are many considerations for marketing over the internet and, inevitably, Google will figure into any strategy you employ. Don't forget, however, there are many ways to bring traffic to your web site besides Google.
Even so, all the traffic in the world won't mean a thing if your web site can't keep your visitors around long enough to complete the action you're hoping for. (If you're new to the game, that action is called a "conversion.")
Last, but not least, a site with high conversion rates can't begin to meet it's full potential if it gets penalized or banned by any or all of the search engines. And repairing the damage can be costly and time consuming.
If you're looking to market your web site, there is an abundance of information available on the 'net. Some of the information is very, very good, while some of it is equally bad, and some information is simply outdated.
So why have I decided to add my voice to the mix?
Because I enjoy helping people.
Because I've spent the last ten years of my life researching "Internet Marketing," and I want to pass on what I've learned.
Because I feel empathy for the good people at the heart of every story I hear of a trusting owner paying thousands of dollars for "Internet Marketing" only to be banned from Google.
Because the better informed you are, the less likely you'll fall prey to some ill-advised scheme or scam that will hurt your reputation, your credibility, and your bottom line.
